Our purpose as a church is to build a Christian community which helps church members grow in faith while reaching out to others, encouraging all to become deeply committed Christians through God’s grace.

Following Jesus and growing deeper in our faith is what we mean by Discipleship. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we must continually seek ways to grow in our faith.

At Wharton United Community Church at St. John's we offer Sunday School for ages preschool through 4th grade at 11:00 every Sunday morning, we are creating a Youth Group, grades 5-7 & 8-12 - (info coming soon), an amazing Vacation Bible School experience (every summer, usually in the first week or two of August).

An important part of Discipleship is also the good stewardship of all that God has given us. Click on the Stewardship link to begin our "Stewardship as a Way of Life" program which includes a "Listening to You" survey about our church, and three self-evaluation forms as you ponder how you spend your time, use your talents, and manage your treasure. In order to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, we have to invest something in that growth.

Pray about how your spiritual life would benefit from participating in one of the above Discipleship areas today!
