As we come together as a church, we are seeking ways to better connect with our members while being more aware of their physical and spiritual needs. We have created the Shepherd position for this purpose. Each Shepherd shall maintain contact with and care for no more then 15 members, at any given time, of the Wharton United Community Church. The Shepherds shall receive training to give care to their assigned members and along with the pastors, shall minister to those in need, to those who are sick or hospitalized, to inactive members, to shut-ins, to the friendless, and to anyone in distress.
